Birding in the Everglades

This morning in the everglades I saw a Barred owl.I have never seen a owl in the wild.
Later we saw a juvenile Red Shouldered Hawk perched on a tree overlooking the saw grass.

 Next we saw a great Egret spear a baby water snake (look closely!!)

Finally we saw purple martins at their southern most point in the continental USA-- at the Robert is Here fruitstand.

  3. Silas, Papa and I LOVE your pictures!! I really want to print some off and frame for my house. Papa loved the purple martin and I loved the owl BUT how did you get the great picture of the Eqret with the snake....that was awesome!
